Priorities for 2026
Mission
Motivated by Christian faith, River Dali Foundation participates with various charities to establish and restore value to individuals and communities in Waterloo Region and beyond.

River Dali Foundation dreams of creating thriving communities through empowering people to actively and intentionally enrich their locality.
Portfolio Focus
- 70% Waterloo Region
- 30% Beyond Waterloo Region
Size of Grants
- A variety of grant requests will be considered up to $25,000.
Eligibility
- Charities become eligible for consideration after completing a Charity Survey.
- Beneficiaries must be registered Canadian charities.
- Past grant recipients are eligible for new funding when the outcomes of their previous project have been completed.
Reporting
- All charities receiving grants from River Dali Foundation will be encouraged to report back on progress made every six months until completion for the outcomes they propose.
Granting Process
- Complete the Charity Survey well in advance of the timetable listed below.
- Stronger Philanthropy will invite shortlisted charities to be interviewed.
- Upon approval by client, shortlisted charities will receive an emailed invitation to apply for a grant.
- Unsolicited applications are not accepted.
Timetable
- Stronger Philanthropy will email invitations to charities to apply on or after September 14, 2026.
- Applications will be considered by members of River Dali Foundation on or after October 12, 2026, with grants awarded soon after.
Next Steps
- Make your organization eligible by responding to the Charity Survey.
- You only need to respond to the Charity Survey once. Once we have it, your organization is available to be considered by all clients.
- We will contact you if we need you to update your survey or if you’ve been selected to complete a grant application.
