Mission

Kehila Foundation invests its charitable funds into grants with Canadian charities to benefit the lives of children and youth in Alberta and beyond.

  • Northern Alberta
  • Occasionally, Kehila Foundation may consider opportunities beyond Alberta

Size of Grants

  • A variety of grant requests will be considered between $5,000-$25,000.

Eligibility

  • Charities become eligible for consideration after completing a Charity Survey.
  • Beneficiaries must be registered Canadian charities.
  • Past grant recipients are eligible for new funding when the outcomes of their previous project have been completed.

Reporting

  • All charities receiving grants from Kehila Foundation will be encouraged to report back on progress made every six months until completion for the outcomes they propose.

Granting Process

  • Complete the Charity Survey well in advance of the timetable listed below.
  • Stronger Philanthropy will invite shortlisted charities to be interviewed.
  • Upon approval by client, shortlisted charities will receive an emailed invitation to apply for a grant.
  • Unsolicited applications are not accepted.

Timetable

  • Stronger Philanthropy will email invitations to charities to apply on or after September 14, 2026.
  • Applications will be considered by members of Kehila Foundation on or after October 12, 2026, with grants awarded soon after.

Next Steps

  • Make your organization eligible by responding to the Charity Survey.
  • You only need to respond to the Charity Survey once. Once we have it, your organization is available to be considered by all clients.
  • We will contact you if we need you to update your survey or if you’ve been selected to complete a grant application.
