Priorities for 2025

Mission

The Unterweger-Ramírez Fund offers grants to Canadian charities working towards healthy church leadership and faith formation in emerging Christian communities.

Vision

The Unterweger-Ramírez Fund desires to see churches and organizations led by qualified, dynamic leaders rooted in thoughtful biblical training and experience for the benefit of societies.

Current Portfolio Focus

  • Colombia
  • Other areas may be selected only when requested by the fund

Size of Grants

  • Small grants of between $2,500-$15,000 will be considered.

Eligibility

  • Beneficiaries must be registered Canadian charities.
  • Past grant recipients are eligible for new funding when the outcomes of their previous project have been completed.

Reporting

  • All charities receiving grants from the Fund will be encouraged to report back on progress made every six months until completion for the outcomes they propose.

Granting Process

  • If your charity believes it has an opportunity that would interest the Fund, complete the Charity Survey well in advance of the granting dates listed in the timetable below.
  • Stronger Philanthropy will conduct a face-to-face interview for organizations that are most closely aligned to the Fund’s priorities.
  • Shortlisted organizations will receive an emailed invitation to apply for a grant.
  • Instructions for completing the application will be contained in the emailed invitation.
  • Unsolicited applications are not accepted.

Timetable

  • Charity Surveys must be received by September 22, 2025.
  • Stronger Philanthropy will email invitations to charities to apply on or after October 7, 2025.
  • Applications will be considered by members of the Fund by November 28, 2025, with grants awarded soon after.

Next Steps

  • You only need to submit one Charity Survey per year to Stronger Philanthropy. We will keep it on file for all clients through the remainder of the calendar year.
