One of the ongoing issues for national charities trying to reach Canadians coast-to-coast is the vast breadth and regionalization of this country. BC-based Wellspring Foundation for Education expanded its development presence into Eastern Canada, but quick growth required greater administrative support to ensure people didn’t fall through the cracks.
Project Name: | Growing Development Support for Eastern Canada Project |
Grant Amount: | $20,000.00 |
Purpose of Investment: | To assist an African education charity based in BC to launch expanded fundraising capability for Eastern Canada. |
Participating Grantmakers: | Bridgeway Foundation |
Measurable Outcomes:
By adding 12-15 hours/week of development and administrative support for the Regional Development Director in Ontario, we will:
– grow our revenue stream by at least 20% over and above the 2015 goals including monthly commitments which will continue on or even grow in future years.
– add at least 2 fundraising events in addition to the Ontario Gala which is already being planned for October 2016.
– increase staff availability by 25% thus allowing for the Regional Development Director to focus more on prospecting and building relationships, which in turn will result in a stronger brand awareness and at least a 10% increase in funding partners.
